Colour it up...

Turning black and while film into a colour image is not new. You can find colourised copies of 1950s films on VHS tapes just to indicate how long it has been around.

It was a high end and expensive process, either all done by hand painting in colours or very powerful computers were needed. Now it is commercially available to everyone.

It is not a “precise science”. Images tend to be most pastel than vibrant and colours can be wrongly chosen. It becomes a mixture of software followed by hand touching to create a final image.
